Fragmentation explores the fragmentation of human anatomy as a means of expressing the alienation and disassociation that can be felt towards ourselves in a world so split and fragmented by modern technology. Through the use of encaustic wax and oil paint, I have hand carved and painted human facial features, breaking the boundaries of two dimensional painting and modes of representation.
